Helping Local Charities to Learn and Engage
Bill Burton, MD of Dale Carnegie South East, presents to the delegates
Leadership and employee engagement experts Dale Carnegie recently partnered with the Centre Supporting Voluntary Action in Chelmsford (CVS) to offer free training to over 40 delegates from charities across the UK and Essex.
The Engaging and Influencing People at Exhibitions workshop was created to show charity representatives and volunteers how to equip themselves with the knowledge, skill and confidence to attract people to their stands, build rapport and successfully engage with possible donors and volunteers.
After the event which was held at Chelmsford City Football Club, CVS event organiser Peter Brooks said, "This was an immensely enjoyable and invaluable event, our members have taken away so many practical skills that will help them to increase engagement with their charities. We’re extremely grateful to Dale Carnegie for offering their expertise and time for free.’’
David Griffith-Sackey who represents the international training organisation across Essex said, "We were delighted to be able to attend the CVS event and to work with all the charities to show them how to portray themselves and their organisations in a positive light. I hope it brings them much success and look forward to supporting CVS again in the future.’’
